Like visuals that are more timeless?
Animations can tend to have a longer 'shelf life' than filmed video. Obviously, this isn't a set in stone rule. It all depends on your story and what goals you're trying to achieve. Oh.. and budget. We've had the honour and privilege on creating a good variety and types of animations.
